It is the responsibility of the well-informed membership to make known our wishes for REFORM. There is still time to reverse the damage that has been done because of our failure to act. With our prayerful input and support our leadership can adopt  policies which will be instrumental in reforming  a strong and inspiring denomination.

MASS EXODUS - MORE PEOPLE ARE EXITING THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH THAN ARE ENTERING TEXAS AT THE SOUTHERN BORDER!

MASS EXODUS

MORE PEOPLE ARE EXITING THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
THAN ARE ENTERING TEXAS AT THE SOUTHERN BORDER!

More than 2 million members have left PCUSA since the 1983 merger. Roughly seventy thousand a year.  The leadership of PCUSA is a failure. Their wrongheaded philosophies are destroying the church. The well-informed local church members see this clearly. The PCUSA leadership remains blind and stubborn.

We welcomed a large group of new members into our church this Sunday.  Had they been informed of the Social Gospel espoused by PCUSA, it most likely would have been an impediment to their membership. Likewise, if the Social Gospel positions of PCUSA were widely made known to our present membership, it would be very apt to cause a major exodus from our congregation. Whenever those divisive ideas are mentioned, our local leadership is quick to point out that we disagree with PCUSA. It is difficult to build a church when we are secretly ashamed of its policies!
